A Dry Season
I don’t know about anyone else, but there are times when I have what I call a dry season; a time when I cannot hear a word from the Lord, or even write anything. We go through so much in life and have so many things to contend with, and time seems to be our enemy, and when it looks as if things can’t get any worst, we start feeling guilty. And with guilt comes doubt, and doubt makes us question our faith; guilt make us think badly of ourselves and we disconnect ourselves from the people of God, from the ones that can help us understand what we are going through.
We fail to assembly with those that can help us understand that it’s not anything wrong but just the ploy of the devil. The scripture says that we can come boldly to the throne of God to obtain mercy unto our souls, but self pity make us fail to see this, guilt make us think we are not worthy of this, but God is slow to anger and ready to forgive. This is why it is important as saints of God to assembly ourselves together for the uplifting of one another, to always talk to someone that can help us understand the will of God and the fact that God is not our accuser but the devil is.
I thank God each and every day that I have come to the realization that he loves me unconditionally, that I can bring all things to him, I can repent of my sin, and he will forgive me. We go through trial, tribulation and test to make us strong in the Lord`, and sometimes as a testimony for others.
Anyone can trust in God when all is well, but the test is when we can praise him when things are bad, when we lost a love one, lost a job, not knowing where our next meal coming from, a love one is in jail, sick, or whatever the case may be, can we still have faith in God, can we still sing praise unto the Lord. Can we let our lights shine among men and glorify God through all that we are going through, can we set aside self and let the glory of the Lord work in us to help others, yes I can, what about you, you and you.
