- As a teacher and psalmist, Dean believes that, whether preaching or singing, one must always stay under the anointing of God.
Teaching with a special emphasis on faith and entering into a deeper relationship with God, Dean helps people learn that they too can have an intimate relationship with God, and experience His blessings in every area of their lives, through their authority in the name of Jesus.
Dean’s ministry is marked by the presence of God in a tangible way, with signs often following the Word. Many have received their healing during meetings.
In 1998, after a successful business career in which they built, led, and spoke for groups of independent business owners, the Tarkingtons followed the Lord’s calling to go into full time ministry.
Dean has been privileged to travel with Bishop Keith A. Butler, Pastor of Word of Faith International Christian Center in Southfield, Michigan, as praise and worship leader, armor-bearer, and as a psalmist. Dean also served at Faith Christian Center, Phoenix, Arizona, as Senior Assistant Pastor.
A graduate of Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona, Dean has a degree in Music Theater. Prior to working in the ministry, Dean performed professionally as a singer/actor.
Dean and his wife Gloria have been married for 29 years and have raised two wonderful children. Matthew, (25) is an anointed youth pastor, and Elizabeth, (16) is a young woman who is wholeheartedly serving the Lord as a worship leader.
Dean’s music CD, “Ushering in the Glory of God” is a contemporary Christian CD which takes the listener from praise to worship and then into the very presence of God.
Dean’s book, “Faith and Compassion: Moving the Hand Through the Heart of God” shows people how to apply faith and compassion (love), as taught in the Word of God, to activate God’s power in their lives.
